Get ready for some exciting news! Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, a beloved gem nestled within the Disneyland Hotel, is set to undergo a significant transformation. The Disneyland Resort has officially announced that the indoor area of this charming bar will be closing for refurbishments starting on February 17, 2026.
This anticipated closure comes as no surprise, especially after Disneyland submitted a permit in October detailing the planned enhancements. According to the permit, the refurbishment will include various upgrades: replacing 42 gas tiki torches with epoxy anchors outside, installing a new air conditioning unit in the electrical room, and revamping the interior show effects, lighting systems, along with necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.
The updates are expected to enhance the immersive experience that Trader Sam’s offers, particularly its unique Jungle Cruise-inspired decor and interactive drink presentations. While the indoor seating will be off-limits during the renovation, the outdoor dining and bar area will remain operational. This means guests can still savor the delightful food and drinks available, ensuring that the enchantment of Trader Sam’s continues even amidst the changes.
As of now, Disneyland has not revealed when the bar will reopen or the complete details of the refurbishment project.
