Imagine transforming your living room into a cutting-edge cinema with the latest in display technology! Samsung has just announced that their revolutionary Micro RGB LED TVs, first showcased with an impressive 115-inch model last August, will soon be available in more manageable sizes, ranging from 55 inches up to 100 inches. While it’s certainly exciting to dream about massive screens, realistically, many of us are more inclined to consider the practicality of a 55-, 65-, or 75-inch TV for our homes.
The upcoming lineup of Micro RGB TVs will include sizes such as 55, 65, 75, 85, 98, and 100 inches, complementing the already unveiled 115-inch MR95F model. Expect more information regarding pricing and availability during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this January.
Currently, these models represent the smallest Micro RGB televisions released by any manufacturer to date. For instance, LG has recently introduced its own Micro RGB TV, which is offered in sizes of 75, 86, and 100 inches. Meanwhile, Hisense features a 116-inch model called the 116UX, and TCL's Q9M RGB mini-LED series has a minimum size of 65 inches, although it remains unclear if these models will be accessible in the United States.
It’s interesting to note that there isn’t a clear industry standard differentiating between "mini" and "micro" in the context of this new RGB television technology. However, Samsung specifies that each red, green, and blue LED in the clusters is less than 100 micrometers (μm) in size—smaller than a human hair and comparable to the size of a dust particle. This advanced approach utilizes RGB LEDs as the primary backlight instead of the more commonly used white or blue LEDs found in other types of LED TVs. This innovation, combined with a color filter, enhances color purity and brightness, providing viewers with a richer visual experience.
Mark your calendars for CES 2026 in January, where we’ll have a chance to see these cutting-edge televisions in action!
