PM Modi's Message to 61,000 New Recruits: Eradicate Government Office Issues (2026)

Prime Minister Modi Addresses 61,000 New Recruits: Overcome Past Challenges to Empower Citizens

NEW DELHI: In a powerful address to over 61,000 newly recruited government personnel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of learning from past challenges and ensuring a better experience for citizens. The PM, speaking virtually at the 18th edition of Rozgar Mela held across 45 locations, highlighted the transformative impact of India's global trade agreements and its government's commitment to reforms.

"India's growing influence on the world stage is opening doors for our youth," Modi stated. "Our trade agreements are not just about economic growth; they bring new opportunities and a chance to shape a brighter future."

Modi urged the recruits to reflect on their own experiences with government offices over the past 5-7 years. "Think about the difficulties you faced, the frustrations you endured, and the pain points you encountered," he said. "Now, as government employees, it's your duty to shield citizens from these challenges."

The PM emphasized the government's focus on reforms, referring to it as the "Reform Express." He encouraged the recruits to play their part in this journey, stating, "Remember the instances where you encountered trouble, felt a lack of service, or experienced irritation. Now, it's your responsibility to ensure these issues don't hinder citizens' interactions with the government."

Modi also stressed the importance of integrity and honesty among government employees, citing the 'Nagrik Devo Bhava' (Citizen is akin to God) philosophy. He highlighted the positive impact of modern infrastructure investments on employment and the thriving startup ecosystem, which has created over 21 lakh jobs for young entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, Modi discussed the benefits of recent GST reforms for youth-led businesses and labor reforms that have strengthened social security. He concluded by encouraging the recruits to embrace their roles in shaping a more efficient and citizen-centric government, leaving a lasting positive impact on the nation.
