In a virtual ceremony held on Wednesday, Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi officially launched KP Green Engineering Limited's cutting-edge fabrication and galvanising plant situated in Matar, Bharuch. Adding to the international flair, Botswana's Minister for Minerals and Energy, Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, took the spotlight to unveil Asia's biggest galvanising kettle—an essential piece of equipment that forms the heart of this innovative setup.
Encompassing a sprawling 45 acres, the Matar facility stands out as one of India's premier centers for steel fabrication and galvanising. It embodies Gujarat's rising reputation as a premier destination for top-tier manufacturing. With an annual production capability of 294,000 tonnes, this plant is set to boost KP Green Engineering's overall operational volume from its present 310,500 tonnes to a robust 400,500 tonnes once it hits full stride by 2026. Sanghavi also touched on a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the KP Group and Botswana's government, aimed at joint ventures in renewable energy production, storage, and transmission systems. 'The planned rollout of up to 5 gigawatts of renewable capacity aligns perfectly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's vision to establish India and Gujarat as leading global centers for green energy innovations,' he added.

The facility is poised to create between 6,000 and 7,000 jobs, both direct and indirect, injecting vitality into local economies.
